About Me Well, really if you want to know about me you can just read my first blog entry and follow the links contained therein. The best thing to read would be my LiveJournal. It's updated daily.
Music My taste in music can only be described as "eclectic." My favorite singers very in range from James Taylor to Green Day to Barbra Streisand. I have a great love for Etta James and Bobby Darin. I, also, like Meatloaf, Enya, Natalie Merchant, and Fleetwood Mac. Chances are: if you name a singer, there's at least one song by them I like.
Movies My taste is movies is much like my taste in music. Some of my favorite films are: Gone With The Wind, Empire Records, Lord of the Rings, Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, and Beauty and the Beast.
TV I watch way too much television for my own good. I can spend the majority of the day tuned into the Discovery Channel. I, also, have an unhealthy addiction to the Sci-Fi channel. Shows that I regularly TIVO include: Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, and Boston Legal.
Books I love reading! My favorite book is "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. In fact, I love all of Lowry's work. Other books I've been known to reread are "Gone With The Wind" by Margaret Mitchell, "Phantom" by Susan Kay," and "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien (I love Tolkien so much I have his logo tattooed on the back of my neck).
Hobbies Online chatting, working on my website, musical theatre, music, reading, knitting.
    Heroes My mom.

Entertainment Highlights and Special Events 2008

Monday, March 10, 2008, 11:19 AM PST [Ren Faire]

Entertainment Highlights and Special Events for 2008 has been posted to the So. Cal. Renaissance Pleasure Faire website. There are quite a few new shows and characters running around this year; including a World Record Holding Crack-Whip Master, A new Lord Mayor's Show and Queen's Show, and Merlin: The Magician. Plus, there's a lot of new things for the kids!

Another detail I noticed (that I don't remember from previous years) is this: "Welcome to Port Deptford!" Was the faire always named Port Deptford?

Some returning favorites include: The Bold and Stupid Man Show, Jousting, and The Washing Well Wenches. However, I have to ask, "Where is Sound and Fury??"

There are quite a few shows and activities that I greatly miss from some of my previous years at the Faire. The one that I always look for on the schedule (but, haven't been to the faire in over 4 years) is the Green Tree Man. Anyone remember this guy?

I also miss the giant rocking horses. But, I only saw those one year.

    So. Cali Ren Faire 2008

Sunday, March 9, 2008, 10:28 AM PST [Ren Faire]

Well, it's that time of year again! The Southern Califronia Renaissance Pleasure Faire is going to be starting in just 30 short days!

Faire time is always a special time for me and my family. It's an annual event to which we all look forward. This year we'll be introducing my aunt to the wonders of Jousting, Bold & Stupid Men and Turkey Legs!

Also, my sister has voiced that she'd like to go more than once this year. This is very exciting for me, as I always manage to go at least twice. Maybe I'll manage a three-pete this season!

Anyway, this is just a "starter blog entry" for the season. I like to get into the habbit of typing here so that I can post all my fun Ren Faire adventures!
